Most car air fresheners are liquid, gel or aerosol. A fragrance sachet is fabric, filled with fragrance beads. There is no liquid to spill, no flame, no spray and nothing to plug in or refill. The scent releases gradually rather than all at once, which is why it lasts months instead of weeks.

How long does a car fragrance sachet last?

Approximately 3–6 months. The exact life depends on temperature, airflow and where you place it. A sachet clipped to an air vent in a car parked in summer sun will fade faster than one hanging in a wardrobe.
